Home church: Zion Evangelical Missionary Church in Didsbury.

Dan grew up in Didsbury, and attended PEMC during university and while teaching school for a couple years.  He then took a position teaching math for the Nigerian government from 19977-84 as a ‘tent maker’.  Janet grew up in California.  She was involved in short-term missions service in South America and first went to Nigeria with the Southern Baptist Mission in 1991.  She worked as librarian in the school where Dan was teaching.   Dan later became Field director for the World Partner Missionaries.  They relocated to Hungary in 2006.

Ministry: Janet is assisting missionary families with educating their children (mostly homeschooling) and helping to set up Christian Schools in Europe., through encouragement, conferences, consultations and testing.  Dan is book keeper for the mission.

Challenges: “Being away from family; communicating with Hungarians (the language is very hard to learn), learning a new job and culture. Pray for wisdom as we deal with missionary families and their needs for their children’s education.”
