Parkdale adopted the ‘People Group” on the Sea Bird Reserve to help with ministry there in the early 1990’s.  We pay the monthly rent on the building they use for a church. Ken & Sharon are working with natives at Sea Bird Reserve. They are World Partners with EMCC.

Ken and Sharon MisenerBoth Ken and Sharon were born in Toronto Ontario.  After marrying and moving to BC, Sharon worked as a nurse and Ken as salesman in the trucking industry.  They both surrendered their hearts to the Lord when in their 30’s while living in Langley BC.

Ken felt called to missions in 1987 after attending his first missions conference and Sharon in 1988.  They began working as Child Evangelists and later in 1995 joined the Shantymen and in 2006 World Partners.

Ministry: Ken is working as cross-cultural missionary to First Nations people in BC: holding worship services Bible Studies, and Vacation Bible School.  Ken is also responsible for Seabird Island Christian Fellowship, and involved in church planting and family counseling.  (Parkdale Grace Fellowship pays for the church building rent.)

Challenges: The constant battle against Native Spiritism and Band politics and need for financial support.  The need for more workers is great.
